ILOILO CITY – Four people were killed and 11 were injured in two road crashes in the provinces of Aklan and Antique on Monday morning, May 19.
Three of the four fatalities were in New Washington town in Aklan.

The victims were identified as Dr. Beonify dela Cruz Opinion, a teacher at Aklan State University (ASU)-New Washington campus, Donny Peralta, and tricycle driver Wilson Algarne.
A tanker truck hit and dragged their tricycle on a curved road.
Ramil Fernandez, the driver of the truck, said he fell asleep while driving.
In Antique, one person died when a wing van collided with a
passenger bus on a curved road in the town of Pandan.
The driver was from Aklan.
Closed circuit television footage showed that the van veered off from its lane and crashed straight into a Ceres bus. The bus rammed a house.
Police said the driver died on the spot while 11 persons from the bus were injured.
Nobody was hurt inside the house.
