PNP, PDEA seize P3.4M worth of shabu, nab top drug suspect in Cavite buy-bust

Government anti-narcotics authorities seized on Saturday, May 17, around P3.4 million worth of shabu following the arrest of a high-value target (HVT) drug suspect during a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated.
In a statement, the PDEA noted that the suspect, alias ‘Eugene’ of Tondo, Manila was collared at about 3:00 p.m. at the open parking lot of a mall in Barangay Habay 2.
Joint operatives of the PDEA Regional Office 4A Special Enforcement Team 1 and PNP Cavite Maritime Police Station pounced on the suspect after the buy-bust operation was consummated.
“Seized from the suspect were more or less 500 grams of suspected shabu worth P3,400 and buy-bust money, the PDEA noted.
The suspect faces charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
