A fire broke out on Sunday afternoon, May 18, in a residential area behind Vicente Lim Elementary School, located at the corner of J.P. Rizal Street and Roxas Street, Barangay 106, Tondo, Manila.
According to data from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire was first reported for verification at 2:30 p. m.
A minute later, visible smoke was sighted, prompting immediate action.
By 2:41 p. m., the fire was officially verified and escalated to the first alarm, and shortly thereafter raised to the second alarm at 2:47 p. m.
The blaze, which affected residential structures made of light materials, was declared under control at 3:27 p. m.
Authorities have yet to confirm the number of affected households and whether there were any injuries.
The fire is still ongoing, as of this writing.
