Woman arrested for selling shabu in Taguig

Police arrested a 45-year-old woman, tagged as a street-level drug suspect, in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on May 14.

The suspect, identified as alias Jackelyn, was nabbed by operatives from the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in Barangay Bagumbayan.

During the operation, the police seized six plastic sachets containing 35.43 grams of shabu worth P234,804, a P500 bill used as buy-bust money along with six pieces of P1,000 boodle money, and a coin purse used to conceal the illegal drugs.

The confiscated evidence will be turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

The police will file a complaint against the woman for violating Section 5 (sale) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles, acting SPD director, commended the team.
