Jaime T. Licauco, author and grandfather of actor David Licauco, passes away at 84

Author Jaime T. Licauco, grandfather of actor David Licauco, has passed away. He was 84.
David mourned the loss of his lolo, whom he referred to as "the wisest man" he has ever known.
On Instagram, David wrote: "The wisest man I knew - always chasing greatness, always sharing his wisdom. Thank you for the life talks, the lessons, and the power of your mind. I'll hold them close, always. Rest easy, lolo."
According to the Inner Mind Learning Institute, Jaime was born on July 25, 1940, in San Juan, Metro Manila. He was married to the former Yolanda Campos, by whom he has three children. They live in Parañaque City.
Jaime is a direct blood descendant (great-great-grandson) of the illustrious 19th-century Filipino painter, Damian Domingo.
He obtained his Master of Business Management (MBM) degree as a scholar from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, majoring in Philosophy and English (Magna Cum Laude), from San Beda College in Manila. During the 100th Anniversary of San Beda College’s founding in October 2001, Jaime was named one of the “Bedans of the Century” for Literature.
Jaime is considered the Philippines’ foremost authority on inner mind development, creative and intuitive management, paranormal phenomena, and Philippine mysticism. He has written 17 best-selling books and numerous articles on these subjects during the last 25 years. He is also co-author of “Intuition at Work,” a book published in San Francisco, California. He has made guest appearances on various television and radio programs here and abroad.
He was a frequent resource person for the prestigious Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), based in Texas, and a member of the International Board of Advisors for the Global Intuition Network in San Francisco, California.
Jaime has 25 years of experience in middle and senior management roles at various firms in the Philippines, primarily in human resources, management consultancy, and management training and development. He has lectured extensively before top executives in the Philippines and various parts of the world, including North America, South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Jaime is one of the leading exponents of Holistic or Complementary Medicine and has also lectured extensively before such medical groups as the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Philippine Society of Family Medicine, the Monthly Medical Forum at Manila Doctors Hospital, the Philippine Neurological Society, Philippine Nurses Association, the Philippine College for the Advancement of Medicine, the Philippine College of Surgeons, Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care, etc.
On April 16, 2012, the Marinduque State College awarded him a Doctor of Humanities Degree (Honors Causa) for his outstanding achievements in the fields of higher consciousness, paranormal research, and Philippine mysticism.
Jaime retired as the anchor of the radio program Inner Mind on Radio over DZMM on Dec. 31, 2013, after 21 years of continuous weekly service. And in DWIZ radio, anchors a program called Kapangyarihan Ng Isip, which ended last April 2015. He also wrote articles for a magazine.
