Taken but still single: Mayor Vico opens up about his love life

Mayor Vico Sotto shared that he remains single for now, but his heart is fully taken by the people of Pasig, who continue to motivate his dedication to public service.
In a TV interview, Sotto, with a raspy voice, answered a question about the state of his heart and whether he ever thought it would be nice to have someone to take care of him.
“Okay lang po. Darating at darating naman po ‘yan (My heart is fine. Love will come, and it will come for sure),” he simply said.
He also said that he has been very busy with work for the past six years.
When asked if someone is giving him inspiration, he said, “Wala ho. Ang nagbibigay inspirasyon sa akin ay tao talaga (No one. What really inspires me are the people).”
Sotto will now serve his third and final term after being reelected in the 2025 elections alongside his slate, Giting ng Pasig.
He said they will continue to strengthen the reforms they have started to ensure that these changes last. He added that this will make it harder for future leaders to commit wrongdoing and easier for them to serve Pasigueños with honesty.
“Pagtitibayin natin yung mga nasimulang pagbabago, reporma. Kailangang siguraduhin natin na ma-institutionalize, ibig sabihin dapat kung sino yung mga susunod na leader sa Pasig ay sisiguraduhin na natin na mas mahirap nang gumawa ng masama, mas mahirap nang maging kurap, mas madali nang maging mabuti, at mas madali na maging tapat sa LGU ng Pasig (We will strengthen the reforms and changes we have started. We need to make sure they are institutionalized, that means ensuring that whoever leads Pasig next will find it harder to do wrong, harder to be corrupt, and easier to do good and remain honest in the Pasig City government),” he said.
