- Candidates who fail to remove their campaign materials will face penalties.
Reelected Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano said campaign tarpaulins used in the May 12 elections by her Team Lani Cayetano have been recycled into tote bags, pouches, and card holders.
Our team has started dismantling the TLC posters since yesterday in compliance with the Comelec directive to dismantle the posters of ‘all’ candidates),” she announced on Facebook.
The Commission on Elections gave all candidates until May 17 to dismantle their campaign materials.
Cayetano warned that all winning and losing candidates who fail to remove their campaign materials will be penalized.
Whether we win or not, let’s do our part. All candidates are given until May 17 to dismantle. There are corresponding penalties for those who do not comply),” she added.
She added, “Salamat sa mga mananahi, sewing coops, and Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center (TMTC) sa paggamit ng mga materyales na ito (Thank you to the seamstresses, sewing coops, and Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center (TMTC) for using these materials).”
