The local government of San Juan is set to implement a vehicle refleeting program that will provide new vehicles to all barangays and city departments, aiming to improve the delivery and efficiency of public services across the city.

Mayor Francis Zamora announced that each of the city’s 21 barangays will receive one Mitsubishi Triton GLX unit and one Toyota Tamaraw FX Utility Van.
He also noted that various city government departments will be equipped with Mitsubishi Triton GLX, Toyota Hiace Commuter, Toyota Lite Ace FX, Mitsubishi Strada FB Dual AC, and Toyota Coaster units.
Meanwhile, the San Juan City Police and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team will receive a Toyota Innova J and a Foton Toano S, respectively.
The local government will be issued a Toyota Coaster, while the city's Department of Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) will be given a Foton Toano S to be used for emergency and disaster response.
Additionally, Zamora said that they are processing the procurement of an aerial ladder fire truck which will be vital during fire emergencies in high-rise buildings.
They are also set to acquire a 32-seater electric vehicle and four 11-seater electric vehicles to support the city’s mobility and sustainability goals.
“Ito po ay ating gagawin upang mas makapaghandog ng maayos na serbisyo ang ating pamahalaang lungsod, kapulisan, bumbero, at mga barangay (This is being done to enable our city government, police, firefighters, and barangays to deliver faster and better public service),” he said.
The mayor added that they are also completing the new Eastern Police District (EPD) Headquarters, along with the San Juan PNP and San Juan BFP headquarters. The construction of the Makabagong San Juan Crematorium and Columbarium is also set to begin soon.
