A 32-year-old man was nabbed by the Cainta Municipal Police for raping a woman who asked him for help in looking for her missing live-in partner in Cainta, Rizal, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said on Thursday, May 15.

The police identified the suspect as alias "Bayas," 32, a resident of Barangay San Andres. He is tagged as a most wanted person (MWP) at the regional level by the police.
Based on the police report, Bayas was arrested in Barangay Sto. Domingo by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of rape issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 141 of Antipolo City without a recommended bail.
Investigation showed that on Dec. 3, 2022, the victim sought assistance from the suspect in looking for her live-in partner who had allegedly been missing for three days.
The victim said Bayas pretended to have seen her live-in partner in their area and offered to bring her to him.
Instead, the suspect brought the victim to his house and proceeded to rape her.
Bayas is now detained at the Cainta Custodial Facility.
