Kapamilya star Maymay Entrata is grieving the loss of her mother, Lorna.
On Instagram, Maymay honored her mother's sacrifices by sharing an old video. Her full post:
"Dear Mom, It is a great honor to have you as my Mother. You bravely faced all the trials and sacrifices to sustain us as a whole family.
"I will miss you, Mom, I will miss the person who loved and will forever love me wholeheartedly. I learned to love unconditionally from you, and I will carry all that I learned from you forever.
"Thank you so much for the treasure you left, Mom — wealth that is not from the earth, but rich in the love that has no equal.
"I love you so much, my mother, and I don't regret all the sacrifices I've made to see you happy always until we meet again, my dear Mother.
"Ps. This is one of the last things I said to Mom before she passed away, so as long as possible, your loved ones are still with you.. Hug them, let them know how much you love them, and don't waste a day without showing it. Because there will come a day when hugs will be just memories, and words left unsaid will be heavy on the heart. Don't wait until it's too late to start loving fully," Maymay wrote in Filipino.
In April, Maymay discussed the health crises of her mother and grandmother after two years. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer, and her grandmother required dialysis.
"Andito ako sa point na hanggat may oras ako na makapiling ko yung dalawang nanay ko, gagawin ko—palipad-lipad man ako sa Cagayan de Oro o Japan, paulit-ulit gagawin ko po. Sobrang mahal na mahal ko po sila. Yun yung dahilan kung bakit on and off ako sa showbiz nitong mga nakaraang taon po sa buhay ko. (I'm at the point where as long as I have time to be with my two mothers, I will do it—whether I'm flying to Cagayan de Oro or Japan, I will do it over and over again. I love them so much. That's the reason why I've been on and off showbiz these past few years of my life),'' said an emotional Maymay during the Star Magic "Spotlight" press conference at Coffee Project in Quezon City last month.
Maymay and her older brother, Vincent, were raised by their grandparents after their father abandoned them during childhood. Meanwhile, their mother worked in Japan to support the family.
The "Amakabogera" singer celebrated her 28th birthday on May 6.
