Good news! Muntinlupa mayor announces release of midyear bonus for employees

Employees of the Muntinlupa City government will receive their midyear bonus on May 16, Mayor Ruffy Biazon said.

Biazon held a live broadcast on Facebook on May 16 to announce the release of the midyear bonus.

“Magandang balita po ito. Ngayong araw, May 16, ipapamahagi po ang midyear bonus bilang pagkilala sa kasipagan at at dedikasyon sa trabaho na ginawa ng ating mga city government employees (This is good news. Today, May 16, the midyear bonus will be distributed in recognition of the hard work and dedication of our city government employees)," he said.

He said based on the law, regular and casual employees will receive a midyear bonus equivalent to their one-month basic salary.

Qualified are those active employees who have rendered service for at least four months as of May 15.

For those under job orders, Kabalikat (street sweepers), contractuals and barangay health workers, Biazon said they will receive a premium pay of P5,000 coming from the city government.

“Kaya tayo’y nagpapasalama sa mga taxpayers. Kung hindi daily sa taxpayers, wala tayong ganyan na maibibigay na pondo. (That's why we thank the taxpayers. If it weren't for the taxpayers, we wouldn't have the funds to give them)," he said.
