SM MOA Arena unveils the country's biggest centerhung

SM Mall of Asia Arena (MOA) Arena unveils the country’s biggest and most sophisticated centerhung called “The Cube,” worth over $2.1 million, to improve the viewing experience of fans and elevate the overall atmosphere of future events. This brand-new and highly advanced centerhung was recently added in May as part of the venue’s 13th anniversary celebration and ongoing efforts to upgrade technology that meets international standards.
World-class technology from Daktronics
The state-of-the-art centerhung was supplied and manufactured by Daktronics, the world leader in engineering Light-Emitting Diode (LED) display technology and audio systems. Cutting-edge scoreboards by Daktronics can be seen in some of the NBA’s best arenas, namely Intuit Dome in Inglewood, which built the largest ever double-sided halo, Madison Square Garden in New York, and Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Enhanced viewing experience for all
With this new centerhung, measuring a total active area of 176 square meters compared to the existing 138 sqm, it ensures that information can be visible from a far distance, the main LED display boasts 672x1344 pixels. Additionally, it features a high-resolution display that results in crystal-clear images and lively colors, marking an improvement of 117 percent over the previous LED board, including adding the top ring, which has 30 sqm with 168x5548 pixels, and the bottom ring measuring 18 sqm with 168x3024 pixels.
Unveiling a new era in live entertainment
On May 14, 2025, audiences will witness this advanced innovation, which is on par with international standards. From then on, event promoters, corporate partners, and attendees can expect a top-notch overall event experience that will truly be unforgettable. The display of game statistics, video replays, split-screen functionality, multiple text and video frames, and even live fan cams will showcase stunning visuals that surpass the previous ones.
The new centerhung will be showcased during the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Men’s and Women’s Volleyball finals at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
