Over P2-M worth of shabu, firearm seized from 3 suspects in Malate

A suspected drug pusher and two of his alleged accomplices were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Manila Police District (MPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) in Malate, Manila on Wednesday, May 14.
According to MPD-DDEU Chief Maj. Salvador Iñigo, the primary suspect was identified as Reynald, alias “Eyat,” 32 years old, a resident of Zaragoza Street, Tondo, Manila.
Reports indicate that the arrest was made along Quirino Avenue, Barangay 701, after a police poseur-buyer successfully purchased a plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth P24,500 from the suspects.
During the search, authorities confiscated three more plastic bags containing suspected illegal drugs.
A caliber .45 LLAMA pistol loaded with six rounds of ammunition was also recovered from alias “Eyat.”
The suspects are currently detained at the MPD Headquarters and are facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
