The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 6,935 out of 10,770 examinees successfully passed the May 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE), administered by the Board of Nursing across 18 testing centers nationwide.

The PRC noted that the results were released just five working days after the examination concluded.

Leading this year’s list of topnotchers is Angelica Ferrer Dator from Southern Luzon State University (SLPC) with a remarkable 90.00 percent rating.

Close behind is Dorisse Ann Flores Laygo from Philippine Women’s University - Manila (PWU) with 89.90 percent, followed by Arielle Sabrina Abordo Natividad, also from SLPC, who garnered 89.40 percent.

In fourth place is Jonna Erosa Espina Villanueva of Iloilo Doctors’ College with an 89.20 percent rating.

Coreen Nicole Valero Benitez of SLPC, Jaien Leewen Martinez Del Rosario, Kate Therese Tenorio Pile of the University of Pangasinan, and Bea Dominique Tenorio Pile of the College of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel were tied in fifth place with an 89.00 percent rating.

In sixth place with an 88.80 percent rating were Jemuel Kyle Bejar of Our Lady of Fatima University - Pampanga, Inc.; Jamela Irish Concepcion Casis of the University of Pangasinan; and Nina Grace Sera Jasmin of Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation.

Ernest Matthew Hernandez Alcantara of LPU-St. Cabrini School of Health Sciences, Inc.; Hannah Katrice Beduya Blastique of De La Salle Medical & Health Sciences Institute; Aliyah Sarmiento Briones of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila; Samantha Joy Calubaquib Eco Cruz of the University of Pangasinan; Jonah Danica Aniciete Mangaban of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila; Kyla Mae Nano Narciza of Araullo University; Julia Leri Mari Parulan Sausa of Adventist University of the Philippines; and Monette Jossa Asperin Villanueva of the University of Pangasinan were in seventh place with an 88.60 percent rating.

In eighth place with an 88.40 percent rating were Juvely Bautista of the University of Pangasinan; Danica Danielle Garino Bergnantin of PWU-Manila; Rose Sheilla Mae Duata Domingo of Urdaneta City University; and Alyna Kyla Araojo See of the University of Pangasinan.

In ninth place with an 88.20 percent rating were Desiree Ann Caparanga Aberejo of Our Lady of Fatima University - Antipolo City; Angelo Quibal Adaoag of Araullo University; Martin Jorge Bernal Alcantara of Gordon College; Princess Rania Asilo of Mountain View College; Ellyza Lagasca Cortez of Saint Paul University - Tuguegarao; Neisshi Anne Racadio Gimeno of Sultan Kudarat State University - Tacurong; Loren Mirador Mistica of Gordon College; Cristina Paula Finuliar Samson of the University of Pangasinan; and Kaye Arianne Legaspi Tenorio of Calamba Doctors’ College.

In tenth place with an 88.00 percent rating were Ruella Princess Indig Abuana of Mati Doctors College; Maxine Rose Arambulo Agas of FEU - Manila; Arnel Vallarta Bandahala Jr. of FEU - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation; Warren Cabidog Dolor of Mountain View College; Jane Kate Nava Domantay of the University of Pangasinan; Criszel Alcausin Navelgas of the University of Luzon; Jan Marie Burias Salva of Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology; Marc Joshua Anega Saranillo of the University of Mindanao - Davao City; and Mary Grace Pelino Tamayo of Colegio de Sta. Lourdes of Leyte Foundation, Inc.

Several universities also excelled with impressive passing rates.

The top-performing schools with 100 or more examinees and at least an 85 percent passing rate include: University of Pangasinan with 99.16 percent; Saint Paul University - Tuguegarao with 98.94 percent; Gordon College with 98.29 percent; Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation with 98.00 percent; Holy Trinity University with 95.89 percent; Universidad de Zamboanga with 94.12 percent; Medical College of Northern Philippines with 90.52 percent; and Lyceum Northwestern University - Dagupan City with 85.29 percent.

The May 2025 PNLE was administered by the following Board of Nursing members: Hon. Elsie A. Tee, Chairman; Hon. Elizabeth C. Lagrito; Hon. Zenaida C. Gagno; Hon. Marylou B. Ong; Hon. Merle L. Salvani; Hon. Leah Primitiva S. Paquiz; and Hon. Carmelita C. Divinagracia.

Successful examinees are advised to register online for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration starting June 13, 2025, via the official PRC website: www.prc.gov.ph.

The schedule and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the newly licensed nurses will be announced at a later date.

The PRC noted that the results of one examinee were withheld pending a final determination regarding their compliance with licensure regulations.
