Following the success of their initial collaboration, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and SM Supermalls are set to continue the “Save from Extinction” campaign on May 16, 2025, at the Mall of Asia Main Mall Atrium.
Aimed at raising awareness, Save from Extinction focuses on the conservation of six critically endangered species native to the Philippines: the dugong, Philippine eagle, pawikan (marine turtle), pangolin, Philippine cockatoo, and tamaraw.
The campaign brings together key conservation partners, including the World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines, Zoological Society of London - Philippines, Forest Foundation Philippines, D’Aboville Foundation, Katala Foundation, and the Philippine Eagle Foundation. Supporting partners from the SM group—Kultura, SM Fashion, Toy Kingdom, Banco De Oro Unibank, Inc., and SM Supermalls—are also onboard.
The campaign will be formally launched by DENR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga and SM Supermalls president Steven Tan, who will deliver special messages during the event. The launch will also feature a performance by Esang de Torres and a fashion show inspired by the featured endangered species.
In support of the cause, exclusive merchandise from Kultura, SM Fashion, and Toy Kingdom will be unveiled during the launch, which coincides with Endangered Species Day.
