Watsons, a trusted household name for beauty and health essentials, continues to elevate its commitment to health and wellness with the launch of The Great Health Fest 2025. Held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on May 12, the six-day event runs until May 17 and features unbeatable deals, expert-led wellness activities, and free health services.

Now in its second year, The Great Health Fest 2025 brings together over 40 leading health and beauty brands, offering discounts of up to 80 percent on essential health and wellness products. Watsons is also giving away up to ₱1 million worth of prizes from partner brands and hosting interactive booths that make health and wellness fun and engaging. Visitors can enjoy free health consultations, insightful talks from medical professionals and brand ambassadors, and exclusive activities for Watsons Club members—all designed to empower Filipinos to make smarter, healthier choices.

Participating brands include Watsons Generics, Unilab, RiteMed, Habit, NutriXpert, Galderma, Hisamitsu, Omron, and many more—showcasing a wide array of products and services aligned with Watsons’ mission of making health and wellness accessible to every Filipino.

Strengthening health services

In an interview, Sharon Decapia, Watsons senior AVP for marketing, PR, and Sustainability, and Joweeh Liao, director of Health Business Unit, Finance, Property, and Store Development, shared that The Great Health Fest is just one of the brand’s initiatives to help Filipinos take better care of their overall wellbeing. Beyond this event, Watsons continues to solidify its role as a trusted partner in health and wellness by strengthening its pharmacy operations and expanding access to essential healthcare services and supplies.

“It's very important for us to empower Filipinos to take charge of their health. Because as Filipinos, we know the challenge—it’s expensive to get sick,” Sharon said. “Part of our advocacy is to equip them, empower them to make smarter health choices, and to imbibe a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their families. It's more of us making sure that health products are accessible, they are affordable, and it's very convenient.”

Joweeh added that some Watsons branches now operate 24/7, while others have extended hours to ensure Filipinos can access medication whenever they need it.

“We are bringing health closer to Filipino homes,” Joweeh said. “We continue to expand. We open stores in the underserved communities. So when you go to a certain city or even a municipality, Watson's is likely there. We are also expanding our prescription range, and we continue to bring in the trendy and what's new in the vitamins and supplements sector.”

In addition, Watsons has expanded its in-store vaccination services and now offers free consultations. At the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Ground Floor branch, customers can conveniently access 2025 vaccines, including Flu, Pneumonia 13, Pneumonia 23, HPV 4, HPV 9, and Hepatitis B.

“We have 200 stores offering everyday vaccination,” Joweeh continued. “We are also upscaling our pharmacies for them to be able to offer expert advice. And then, in-store, we have a number of stores with free consultation. So, when you go there, it's beyond products. We also offer reliable and competent services.”

In-store and online convenience

To further enhance convenience, the brand leverages both online and offline channels. With over 1,100 stores nationwide and the Watsons App, shopping for health and wellness essentials has never been easier. Customers can also use the Click & Collect and delivery services, ensuring access to products and pharmacy services anytime, anywhere.

The Great Health Fest 2025 underscores Watsons’ continued commitment to improving community health and promoting informed, healthier lifestyles.

“Through initiatives like this, we stay true to our promise to help customers look good, do good, and feel great, while continuously supporting our communities,” Joweeh said. “This also reinforces Watsons’ position as a trusted health and pharmacy retail partner, committed to delivering quality, affordable healthcare solutions to every Filipino.”

Following its launch at SM Mall of Asia, Watsons will bring The Great Health Fest 2025 to more communities nationwide, with upcoming stops at SM Fairview (May 21 to 27), SM Pampanga (May 29 to June 4), and SM Seaside Cebu (June 30 to July 6). These road shows aim to bring exclusive deals, wellness activities, and expert guidance closer to more Filipino families.
