Gone are the days we look at cameras as the deciding factor for a brand new phone.
Sure, we still look at that today, but now the game’s been shaken up. Almost every camera in smartphones right now boasts excellent picture quality – and, sure, not all are made equal, but plenty of smartphones have more than decent enough quality to make some happy.
What we’re looking at right now is durability. The strength of a phone is to not burst in hundreds of pieces on a drop or two, all without the support from a shock-resistance/drop-resistance case. That’s where we’re headed for right now.
vivo has entered the gladiator arena to show you it’s got what it takes to be tough. The phone maker boasts a 360-degree protection with what they call “Comprehensive Cushioning Structure,” which covers every corner and side of the device, absorbing shock and dispersing the impact.
vivo is also boasting the SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance and calls it “Military Grade Certified,” which should set your mind at ease should the device slip off your grip. It happens, don’t worry. It also achieved Military Grade Certification, meaning it has been tested for durability in harsh environments and challenging conditions. This means the V50 Lite is built not just to survive, but to thrive in the real world.
Finally, vivo has what they call the Triple Shield, which boils down to a strong shield glass with scratch and wear resistance, King Kong Anti-Drop Film for additional shock resistance, and a shock-resistance case that comes straight from the box.
vivo says that all of these durability features will improve the V50 Lite’s drop resistance by 20% from 1.5 meter drops.
The vivo V50 Lite is available now and priced at P13,999.
