Uniqlo MOA: Redefined celebrates 1st anniversary with a community run and exclusive anniversary deals

The event was to celebrate how functionality, style, and comfort come together to support the rhythm of everyday life

Life in the Philippines asks a lot from the clothes we wear. It’s a country where the weather can be scorching one moment and unpredictable the next, where humidity clings to the skin by mid-morning, and where our days often stretch from office meetings to late-night errands, sometimes even squeezing in a workout or a long walk home. Through it all, comfort quietly becomes the foundation. And Uniqlo, a global clothing brand, has always understood this. Time and again, it brings fresh, thoughtful collections designed with Filipino consumers in mind.
Recently, its Uniqlo SM Mall of Asia (MOA): Redefined store celebrated its first anniversary with a community run and the spotlight turned to a collection made to move with us. The brand’s Sport Utility Wear line is built for laps and lifts, for daily commutes, quick grocery stops, sidewalk sprints under the sun, and everything in between. The event was to celebrate how functionality, style, and comfort come together to support the rhythm of everyday life, especially in a country known for being warm, not just in weather, but in spirit.

Bid farewell to that all-too-familiar sticky feeling in every move
During the community run around the MOA complex, participants experienced the collection for themselves. The Airism cropped shirts, already a fan favorite, have a light, dry, and breathable fabric, offering relief from that sticky feeling that often defines tropical days. Those who got to wear it commented that it also felt like it hugs the natural shape of their body.
The Dry-Ex pieces, which were worn by almost all of the runners, have breathable, quick-drying properties that let wearers move freely without feeling weighed down and focus on the movement.
The Ultra Stretch pieces are lightweight and high-performance, offering freedom of movement with fabric that stretches in every direction, a favorite among those who engage in high-mobility activities. To cap it off, the UV Protection wear which includes UPF 50+ rated fabrics (the maximum level of UV protection in clothing), protects the skin by blocking over 90 percent of harmful rays.
The event drew some familiar faces to show how these clothes live in real life. Lifestyle personalities like Janina Vela, Joyce Pring, Juancho Triviño, and Emilio Daez wore the pieces and finished the race with smiles on their faces, even during the cool down. Their presence energized the crowd and inspired attendees to explore how movement and fashion can go hand in hand.

For the ladies, the Women’s Ultra Stretch Active Wide Pants (P990) and Women’s Ultra Stretch Active Jogger Pants (P990) are also included in the limited time offer.
A year into its redefined home at MOA, the brand continues to blend into the rhythm of Filipino life. This celebration was a nod to the everyday hustle, to the slow mornings, the long walks, the early workouts, and the last-minute errands that define how we move. Because movement doesn’t need to be dramatic to matter. It just needs to feel right. And that’s what these clothes do.
