Holding just a one-point advantage to end the opening quarter, the Knights turned on the jets in the following frame as they built a sizable lead to break the game wide open and cut the finals deficit to 3-2.
Game 6 is scheduled Thursday, May 15, where Seoul tries to tie the series while Changwon aims to bag its first-ever KBL crown.
Seoul’s 30-point win over Changwon was the biggest in their best-of-seven finals series, following the Game 4 73-48 result in favor of the Knights.
Juan Gomez de Liaño had another quiet performance for Seoul after playing for almost four minutes and posted one rebound along with one assist.
It was the second finals game de Liaño went scoreless after showing off his prowess with a career-high 19 points in their 76-71 Game 2 setback.
An Young-Jun topscored for Seoul as he notched 21 points, while Jameel Warney backed him up with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Isaiah Hicks chipped in 16 points.
On the other hand, de Liaño’s fellow former UP Maroon in Tamayo had a bad-shooting night off a 4-of-14 showing to end up with eight points on top of six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
The Gilas Pilipinas standout also settled for a single-digit output of seven points with seven rebounds and one assist in the game prior.
Yu Ki-Sang (14), Assem Marei (12), and Yang Jun-Seok (10) were the only double-digit scorers for Changwon.
