Cebu politics might be in a state of flux, but Cebu 5th district Rep. Vincent Franco "Duke" Frasco remains a constant in the province.
The deputy speaker in the House of Representatives won in overwhelming fashion his third term as congressman, and he took to his Facebook Wednesday morning, May 14 to thank all those who supported him in the mid-term elections.
"Thank you for the extraordinary support and trust you have given me and #TeamFrasco. With 217,303 votes and a margin of 84,201, you’ve made your voice heard loud and clear. This overwhelming mandate is a powerful reminder of the vision we share for a stronger, more progressive 5th District of Cebu," he wrote.
Frasco vowed to "dedicate every moment to delivering meaningful progress and lasting change to every corner of our beloved district, for the benefit of our fellow Cebuanos and their families".
"We still have work to do. Roads to build. Schools to strengthen. Lives to uplift. And with the fresh mandate you have given me, I will give nothing less than my all," added the solon and husband of Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Frasco.
"This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to every mother, father, student, farmer, worker, and young dreamer in Barangays across the District who continue to believe that good governance can bring real change," added the House leader of the current 19th Congress.
Frasco is the son-in-law of Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, who suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Pam Baricuatro in the mid-term poll last May 12.
