Incumbent Mayor Joy Belmonte secured her third and final term as local chief executive of Quezon City on Tuesday, May 13, following her landslide victory in the midterm elections.

The City Board of Canvassers officially proclaimed Belmonte as the winner after garnering 1,030,730 votes, far ahead of her rivals, Jonathan Cabalo with 13,809 votes, Rolando Jota with 8,586 votes, Noli Navat with 4,253 votes, and Diosdado Velasco with 21,195 votes.
Belmonte has secured 95.56 percent of the total votes in the city.
The city mayor shared her plans for the city.
“Ipagpapatuloy po natin ang pagsulong ng good governance sa ating lungsod kasi yan ang pamamaraan ko para itaas ang budget ng ating lungsod at sa gayon ay mapalawak pa ang serbisyo para ating mga mamamayan (Let's continue to promote good governance in our city because that is my method to increase our city's budget and thereby expand services for our citizens),” she said.
“We like to concentrate more on education, syempre kasama na yang pagkakaroon ng mga paaralan at yung mga gamit ng mga bata and then of course health care is important and we are on the process of building one new hospital and one annex building for Quezon City general hospital and upgrading all our health centers (we like to concentrate more on education, of course including having schools and the equipment for children and then of course health care is important and we are in the process of building one new hospital and one annex building for Quezon City general hospital and upgrading all our health centers),” she added.
Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Gian Sotto was also re-elected with 938,686 votes, defeating his rivals, June Faelangco, who received 18,598 votes, Inventor Ingles, with 19,821 votes, and Dante Villarta with 27,077 votes.
