Incumbent Mayor Jeannie Sandoval secured her second term as local chief executive of Malabon City on Tuesday, May 13.
Mayor Jeannie wins second term; vows to expand quality public programs in Malabon

- Mayor Jeannie Sandoval secured a second term with 120,757 votes.
Sandoval garnered 120,757 votes, while her rival, former congresswoman Jaye Lacson-Noel, had 65,432 votes.
The city mayor said she will focus on her Lucky-9-point agenda for her second term, which includes strengthening the economy, livelihood, businesses, employment, free health services in Ospital ng Malabon, supporting the development of the Dampalit Port Economic Zone, and making Malabon a smart city that provides quality services.
"Ito po ang patunay na tayong mga Malabueno ay tunay na nagkakaisa, tunay na nagnanais ng patuloy na progreso para sa pagpapabuti ng buhay ng bawat isa. Lubos po ang aming pasasalamat sa suporta ng ating mga kababayan na patuloy na naniniwala sa ating mga layunin. Naka-ahon na tayo (This is proof that we Malabuenos are truly united, truly desiring continued progress for the betterment of everyone's lives. We are deeply grateful for the support of our countrymen who continue to believe in our goals. We have made it),” Sandoval said.
“Ngayon, sama-sama po tayo, nagkakaisa tungo sa ating pangarap na mas maunlad na lungsod kung saan lahat ay may pagkakataon mapabuti ang buhay (Now, together, we are united towards our dream of a more prosperous city where everyone has the opportunity to improve their lives),” she added.
Meanwhile, Edward Nolasco won the vice mayoral race with 56,515 votes, compared to Angelika Dela Cruz's 42,207 votes.
“Maraming salamat po sa suporta ng bawat Malabueño sa ating layunin. Makakaasa po kayong tayo ay magiging boses ng bawat Malabueño at magpapatuloy sa pagsasagawa ng mga programang para sa inyo (Thank you very much for the support of every Malabueño in our cause. You can count on us to be the voice of every Malabueño and continue to implement programs for you)," Nolasco said.
Other party mates of Sandoval who secured their position were District 1 Councilors Maricar Torres, Ian Borja, Leslie Yambao, Paulo Oreta, Gerald Bernardo, Payapa Ona, and District 2 Councilors Nadja Vicencio, Jasper Cruz, and Len Yanga.
