We will make government services accessible to our people, especially medical services to the poor),” Go said.
Go, who currently heads the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, said public health as his foremost advocacy.
“Health. That has been my advocacy ever since. To bring medical services closer to the people),” he stressed.
Go said he will again push for stronger oversight of PhilHealth especially in the implementation of the Universal Healthcare (UHC) Law expressing frustration over inefficiencies and underutilization of their existing funds.
For the Filipinos, I will focus here on PhilHealth. PhilHealth is for health. It’s not about business, the funds should be used for the people. It should be returned because its for us),” he said.
Go said this year’s campaign was an uphill battle for him. “Mahirap po. Mahirap. Uphill climb pero sinipagan ko lang talaga (It was difficult. Very difficult. It was an uphill climb but I really worked hard),” he said.
