After winning a seat in the Senate, Aquino said, the work follows.
"Ngayon po napakalaki na ang ating mandato at sisiguraduhin po natin, seseryosoin po natin ang trabaho ng pagiging Senador ng Republika ng Pilipinas at magtatrabaho tayo para sa pag-angat ng pamilyang Pilipino (Today, our mandate is much greater, and we will make sure to take the job of being a Senator of the Republic of the Philippines seriously. We will work for the upliftment of the Filipino family)," Aquino said in a video message on Tuesday, May 13.
"Naipanalo na po natin ito. Ngayon naman po simulan na ang trabaho. Ako po si Sen. Bam Aquino, Senador ng Pilipinas, Senador para sa lahat ng Pilipinas (We have already won this. Now, let’s start the work. I am Senator Bam Aquino, Senator of the Philippines, a Senator for all Filipinos)," Aquino added.
Aquino, who emerged as the second most voted senatorial candidate based on the partial unofficial count, said his senate comeback bid have come so far.
He said his supporters, especially the youth, were instrumental in his win.
"Alam niyo noong nagsimula tayo napakalayo natin pero unti-unti natin naiakyat ang ating estado gawa ng tulong ng Diyos at siyempre ng sipag, tiyaga at pagtutulungan ng taong bayan, kasama siyempre ang kabataan (You know, when we started, we were so far behind, but little by little, we were able to elevate our status through the help of God and, of course, through the hard work, perseverance, and cooperation of the people—especially the youth)," Aquino said.
"Naipanalo na po natin ito. Ngayon naman po simulan na ang trabaho."
