LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Three prominent women emerged on top in the gubernatorial race in the provinces of Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon in the elections on Monday.

Unofficial result from the Commission on Elections showed Sol Aragones and Jose “JM” Carait winning as governor and vice governor in Laguna; actress Vilma Santos-Recto and Gov. Hermilando Mandanas becoming governor and vice governor of Batangas, and Gov. Angelina Tan and Vice Gov. Third Alcala earning their second consecutive terms in Quezon.
Congress winners in Quezon were Mark Enverga, first district; David “Jayjay’ C. Suarez, second district; Reynan Arrogancia, third district; and Mike Tan, fourth district.
In Batangas, Leandro Leviste emerged victorious in the first district; Jinky Bitrics Luistro, second district; King Collantes, third district; Caloy Bolilia, fourth district; Beverly Dimacuha, fourth district, and Ryan Christian Recto, Vilma’s son and Lucky’s brother, sixth district.
Winners in Laguna were Ann Matibag, first district; Ramil Hernandez, second district; Amben Amante, third district, and Benjie Agarao fourth district.
