Gubernatorial candidate, Albay 2nd district Rep. Joey Salceda has underscored his "unwavering" desire to serve the province amid what is appearing to be a tough result in the just-concluded 2025 mid-term polls.

"Good morning Albay. l have had no greater honor than to love and serve Albay," Salceda, a Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) stalwart, said in a Facebook post Tuesday morning, May 13.

"My commitment to serving Albay remains-unyielding, unwavering, and unending. Albay forever," added the outgoing, three-term congressman.

Salceda gave these remarks as he trailed Noel Rosal of Partido Demokratiko Pilipinas-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) in the race for the governor's seat by around 10,000 votes, based on partial and unofficial results.

Salceda, an economist, formerly served as Albay governor for three terms from 2007 to 2016.
