Woman in labor votes in Pangasinan

A woman in labor managed to vote in Pangasinan on Monday amid her condition.
Jobert Ticman, an election monitor, said the photo was taken by Bernadeth delos Santos.
The woman smiled for a photo amid the intense abdominal pain and signs of labor.
Ticman said she patiently waited to fulfill her right and duty as a citizen before proceeding to the birthing facility after voting.
Meanwhile, a senior citizen died after voting in Barangay Gayaman in Binmaley, Pangasinan on Election Day.
The victim arrived to cast his vote early but while in line, he experienced difficulty in breathing attributed to extreme heat.
Pangasinan had a heat index of 42 degrees Celsius (danger) on May 12.
After he voted, he felt dizzy, suddenly collapsed on the floor, and lost consciousness.
Medics declared him dead at 7 a.m., the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said.
