The veteran swingman presided over a pivotal run in the final frame, drilling two triples to spark a 10-0 spurt that allowed the Tropang 5G to create the separation from a tight 77-77 deadlock.

TNT actually finished the contest on a back-breaking 24-7 blast to list its third straight victory for an even 3-3 slate after a 0-3 start to its grand slam bid.

Pogoy nailed five triples on his way to the season-best scoring while Calvin Oftana was a consistent force all throughout the game with 28 points.

Rey Nambatac, who had an injury scare after crashing into the cameraman, finished with 13 while JP Erram added 10.

TNT clamped down on the defensive end and limited Meralco to just 12 points in the final frame as the Philippine Cup champion slid to a 3-4 record, dropping four of its last five games.

Cliff Hodge finished with 23 points while Chris Newsome added 18 – all of which however went down the drain.
