The motorcycle driver in the grenade throwing incident at the parking area of the White House Spa in Barangay Obrero in Quezon City on May 8, has been arrested by the Quezon City Police District on Saturday, May 10.

The suspect was identified as alias “John Paul," 24, a local clothing brand seller, and resident of Valenzuela City.
According to the QCPD, elements of the QCPD District Intelligence Division (DID), Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU), District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU), CIDG-QC, Kamuning Police Station 10, and operatives from the Valenzuela City Police Station, conducted a follow-up operation in De Guzman Street, Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City on Saturday leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Recovered from the suspect were one white motorcycle unit, one black half-face helmet, one khaki camouflage jacket, one pair of black and white slippers, one black hoodie jacket, and one pair of gray jogger pants which is believed to be worn by the back rider, identified as Adam Reginaldo.
He will be facing charges of Arson in relation to Republic Act No. 9516 or Illegal Possession of Explosive.
Meanwhile, law enforcement authorities are still on the lookout for Reginaldo who is identified as a Sangguniang Kabataan Kagawad and a resident of Barangay 152, Caloocan City.
Police are also looking into two other individuals who were allegedly involved in the grenade throwing incident.
The first one is identified as Arnelly Bemejo, who was believed to be the mastermind behind the incident, the second person is an unidentified individual who is believed to be as the mastermind beh8nd the alleged crime.
In a statement, QCPD Officer in Charge Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, said that the officer handling the case remains committed to bringing justice.
“We urge the public to support our efforts by reporting any relevant information to the nearest police station or through the QC Helpline 122,” he said.
He also lauded the officers involved in the QCPD investigation.
“Together, we can make our communities safer,” he added.
