CLARK FIELD, Pampanga – More than one kilo of imported shabu valued at P7.5 million was seized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during an interdiction operation at the Port of Clark on Tuesday, May 6.
The Bureau of Customs said that a suspicious package was discovered during an X-ray examination on May 6.
The contraband was packed and concealed in a vacuum cleaner and rice cooker.
A subsequent physical examination yielded positive results and this was confirmed by PDEA K-9 inspection.
Concealed in the vacuum cleaner was 538 grams of shabu. The rice cooker had 574 grams of shabu.
"The package containing illegal drugs originated from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and arrived at the port on May 6, 2025,” PDEA-Clark said.
Samples will be sent to PDEA-Regional Office 3 laboratory for forensic examination and confirmation.
