The Duterte siblings—Vice President Sara Duterte, Davao Rep. Paolo Duterte, and Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte—are scheduled to meet for a Mother’s Day dinner with their mother, Elizabeth Zimmerman, in her home.

This was disclosed by the Vice President herself in Tres de Mayo, Digos City on Saturday, May 10.
While she claimed to have no idea if brother Paolo is already back in Davao City after visiting their father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, in The Hague, she said that he answered in the affirmative when she sent an invitation for the Mother’s Day dinner via their group chat.
“Yes, yes. I expect to see him tomorrow kasi (because it’s) Mother's Day. Noong inimbita ko sila sa group chat, um-oo naman sila. Kasi sabi niya (When I invited them in the group chat, they said yes. He [Paolo] said), ‘okay, we'll see you,’” she shared.
Asked what topic might come up during the siblings’ dinner for Mother’s Day, Duterte said they might discuss about their father’s detention more than any other issues, including the viral video of Paolo.
“And I don't know what will be discussed. But kung ako lang pahuhulain kung ano iyong idi-discuss (if I will guess what we will discuss), I think the discussion will be about PRRD in detention sa (in the) Hague,” she added.
The Vice President, who had been campaigning since she returned from The Hague last month, expressed her gratitude to her mother for taking care of her children while she was busy.
“Ang laki ng pasalamat natin sa ating mga nanay, no? Ako lalo na dahil ‘yung trabaho ko ay demanding siya (We must be so grateful for our mothers, right? Especially because my work is demanding). And it takes 24 hours, 7 days a week para sa akin dahil ang schedule ko ay nagdedepende sa schedule ng mga tao (for me because my schedule depends on the schedule of other people),” she said.
“Kaya mahirap siya para sa akin ang scheduling. Lalong-lalo na na meron akong tatlong anak na kailangan na palakihin at bantayan, at nandyan iyong nanay ko (So, scheduling is difficult for me. Especially because I have three kids that need to be raised and taken care of, and my mom is there),” she added.
The official also shared that she had been bringing her mother and youngest child with her to campaign sorties.
In a message for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11, Duterte sent her greetings to all mothers and anyone who fills in the shoes of a mother for their “strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love.”
“Sa bawat araw na inilalaan ninyo sa inyong pag-aaruga, pagtataguyod, at paggabay sa inyong mga anak at mahal sa buhay, isinasabuhay ninyo ang uri ng pagmamahal na tapat, dalisay, at walang kapantay (For every day that you spent caring, supporting, and guiding your children and loved ones, you are living proof of the kind of love that’s honest, pure, and incomparable),” she said.
