A 29-year-old man who posed as a delivery rider and sexually abused a 16-year-old girl inside a shop in Marikina City in 2024 was arrested by authorities on Thursday, May 8.

The Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the suspect as “Jun,” listed as the No. 9 most wanted person (district level) for the crime of lascivious conduct under Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610, as ordered by FC Branch 7 of Marikina City on April 28.
Jun was arrested by the members of the Marikina City Police Station during a manhunt operation conducted in Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City.
Investigation revealed that the incident occurred on July 8, 2024, at a milk tea shop in Barangay Conception Uno, Marikina City, which is owned by the family of the victim.
They said the suspect posed as a delivery rider to gain entry into the shop, where he sexually assaulted the victim.
Two weeks later, the victim reported the incident to her parents, who immediately informed the authorities.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect was first arrested in 2020 during an Oplan Sita operation along Camia Street in Barangay Conception Uno, where he was caught in possession of approximately 3 grams of illegal drugs.
EPD Officer-in-Charge Brig. Gen. Aden Lagradante commended the personnel and vowed to keep protecting the public.
“I highly commend the personnel of Marikina CPS for this significant accomplishment. Ang pagkadakip ng suspek ay isang malaking hakbang sa pagkamit ng biktima ng kanyang hustisya mula sa marahas na pang-aabuso. Ang ganitong krimen ay patuloy naming pakatutukan upang matulungan ang mga biktima ng karahasan, gayundin na mapanagot sa batas ang mga indibidwal na mapagsantala at gumagawa ng karumal-dumal na krimen (The arrest of the suspect is a major step towards justice for the victim of this violent crime. We will continue to focus on cases like this to support victims and ensure that those who commit heinous crimes are held accountable),” Lagradante said.
