NCT Wish unable to perform at SMTown Live in LA due to visa issues

NCT Wish unable to perform at SMTown Live in LA due to visa issues 

Boy band NCT Wish will not be able to perform at SMTown Live 2025 concert in Los Angeles after they failed to get visas on time. 

NCT Wish is composed of Korean members Sion and Jaehee, and Japanese members Riku, Yushi, Ryo and Sakuya.

Korean agency SM Entertainment will hold the SMTown Live 2025 concert at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on May 11. 

“We regret to inform you that NCT WISH will not be participating in SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in L.A. due to visa issues,” SM Entertainment announced via the SMTown social media accounts on May 10.

It added, “In preparation for this performance, we thoroughly completed all necessary steps to secure visa approvals, including submitting the required documents and attending interviews. However, despite our best efforts, there was an unexpected delay in the approval process, and the visas were ultimately not issued in time.”

“At present, the exact reason for the delay remains unclear. We made every possible effort to resolve the matter, but unfortunately, it was not enough to ensure NCT WISH’s appearance on stage,” it said. 

SM Entertainment said, “We fully understand and deeply regret the disappointment this may cause to fans who were eagerly anticipating NCT WISH’s performance. We share in your disappointment and sincerely apologize for not being able to fulfill this commitment. To all the fans who set aside time to attend the show and support NCT WISH, we offer our heartfelt apologies. Your unwavering support means everything to us, and we will strive to repay your love and anticipation with even greater dedication and performances in the future.”

SMTown Live 2025 in LA will feature SM Entertainment artists TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee’s Key and Minho, EXO’s Suho, Chanyeol and Kai, Red Velvet’s Irene, Seulgi and Joy, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, Aespa, RIIZE, Naevis, dearALICE, Hearts2Hearts and SMTR25.
