K-pop idol-actor Cha Eun-woo applies to be member of Army Band for military service

K-pop idol and actor Cha Eun-woo, 28, known for the dramas “Gangnam Beauty” and “True Beauty,” has applied for the Army Band for his military service.
According to his agency, Fantagio, on May 9, Cha Eun-woo, a member of K-pop group ASTRO, had an interview for the Army Band at the Ministry of National Defense Band in late March, Korean media reported.
The band recruited applicants from late March to early April, and will select the final successful candidates through interviews.

'The results will be announced on the website of the Military Manpower Administration, which supervises military service in South Korea, on May 29.
The news report stated that if Chae Eun-woo passes the Army Band, he will enlist as early as July, receive basic military training, and serve as a member of the band. The exact date of enlistment has not yet been set.
ASTRO will hold the concert “The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy]” on June 7 and 8 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea.
