Re-electionist First District Representative Juan Carlos "Arjo" Atayde has received the endorsement of the religious group Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) days before the 2025 midterm elections.
In a statement, Atayde expressed his gratitude to the Iglesia ni Cristo.
“Lubos po ang aking pasasalamat muli sa tiwalang ipinagkaloob ng mga Kapatid sa Iglesia Ni Cristo, lalo na kay Ka Eduardo V. Manalo (I am deeply grateful again for the trust placed in me by the Brothers and Sisters of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, especially Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.),” he said.
"Ang inyong suporta ay inspirasyon namin upang ipagpatuloy ang tapat at maagap na serbisyo para sa bayan. Sama-sama tayong kikilos, aksyon agad! (Your support is our inspiration to continue our honest and quick service to the people. We will move as one, action immediately!)” he added.
Now seeking another term in the House of Representatives, Atayde renewed his commitment to “sustain his ongoing projects, fulfill his legislative duties, and continue delivering honest public service” in the first district of Quezon City.
Among his platforms are employment, healthcare, education, and food security.
Atayde has authored and co-authored key legislations such as the Eddie Garcia Law, the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers, the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act, the Internet Transactions Act, the Regional Specialty Centers Act, the SIM Registration Act, the Ease of Paying Taxes Act, and the New Government Procurement Act.
He also spearheaded local initiatives that helped Quezon City residents obtain jobs in the country under TUPAD and overseas through the Taiwan Job Fair.
He also assisted over 1,000 residents through TESDA, and assisted 245 small entrepreneurs through the Sustainable Livelihood Program.
Atayde also pushed for free dialysis treatment in QC’s first district, treating 60 patients daily and providing medical assistance for nearly 75,500 individuals.
Meanwhile, over 4,500 students received assistance from the Commission on Higher Education, and over 1,400 students received scholarships under Tulong Dunong and SMART.
The lawmaker also gave rice aid to 132,567 families, fed 65,000 individuals through meals offered through Kusina on Wheels, and distributed gifts to 64,000 families.
Over 7,780 fire victims also benefitted from Atayde as well as individuals who needed burial assistance and others who have various needs.
Atayde is running under Team Aksyon Agad of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and six councilors in the district who have also been endorsed by the INC.
