Farmer stabbed to death with a sword in Quezon

ALABAT, Quezon – A farmer was allegedly stabbed to death by his drinking buddy with a sword in Sitio Abuyog, Barangay Bulangay, this town, on Thursday night, May 8.
Police identified the victim as Rossbel Saturay, single, of Barangay Sabang, Quezon, Quezon.
Investigation said Saturay and the suspect Boy Taga, also a farmer and resident of Sitio Abuyog, were having a drinking spree at the house of a neighbor, Ruben Armenta, when a heated argument erupted between them.
Boy Taga left and retrieved a sword from his house. He returned to Armenta’s house and stabbed the victim once in the chest. Saturay was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The suspect was apprehended by responding lawmen. The murder weapon was recovered and the suspect faces a homicide complaint.
