DLSU-D concludes 3rd International Conference on Research Inclusivity and Sustainability

De La Salle University-Dasmariñas successfully concluded the 3rd International Conference on Research Inclusivity and Sustainability (InCRIS) held from April 23-25, 2025. 

“As the world races against time to achieve the 2030 Agenda, we must harness the full potential of data, science, and collective action to inform policies, empower communities, and inspire transformation, thus, the theme of this year’s conference, “Accelerating the Attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a Data-driven and Integrative Approach”. It captures the urgency and responsibility that we share in transforming our world through inclusive and science-based solutions,” DLSU-D deputy provost for research Dr. Johnny Ching said. 

Held at the Ugnayang La Salle and the Senior High School Complex, the event opened with three plenary sessions delivered by experts from partner universities Hanoi National University of Education, Kasetsart University of Thailand, Christ University of India, and Marinduque State University. Faculty members from the Technological University of the Philippines-Cavite also serves as facilitators and moderators of the parallel sessions. 

Dr. Nguyen Van Hien kicked off the first day’s plenary sessions by delivering his talk on Teacher Training and Professional Development in Vietnam from the Perspective of Sustainable Development. This was followed by an insightful lecture on Sustainable Food Systems: Balancing Agricultural Productivity and Environmental Stewardship (SDG 2) by Dr. Narongrit Muangmai. The first day closed with a talk on Sustainable Development Goals in Philippine State Universities and Colleges: A Data-Driven and Integrative Approach delivered by Ms. Jholey Leano-Lancion on behalf of Prof. Dr. Diosdado Zulueta, president of MSU and the Philippine Association of Research Managers Inc. (Philarm). Dr. Beulah M from Christ University also delivered a talk on Harnessing Technology for Sustainable Development: Innovations Driving the SDGs on the final day of the conference. 

During its three-day run, workshops covering diverse topics such as DNA Analysis, Social Research for Cavite Development, Training on OSAEC Prevention, Psychological First Aid Learning Session, Optimizing Material Testing, Introduction to Scientometrics, Spatial Analysis using Geoda, Systematic Review in Research, Ui/UX, Effective AI Prompting, Utilization of Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts in MS Excel for Data Analysis, Book Writing and Publishing, and Water and Wastewater Monitoring Methods Using Scientific Meters were  conducted by experts from Wiseman’s Books Trading Inc., HANNA Instruments, XPRT Ventures, SHIMADZU, Diamed Enterprises, WPH Digital, and partners from Rizal Technological University, Cavite Studies Center, DLSU-D’s Psychology Department, Mathematics and Statistics Department, and the Lasallian Community Development Center. 

Close to 150 paper and poster presenters also participated in the event attended by roughly 600 participants from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and parts of Southeast Asia.
