The Eastern Police District (EPD) announced on Thursday, May 8, that a total of 832 uniformed personnel will be deployed in the eastern part of Metro Manila to ensure security during the conduct of the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE) on Monday, May 12.

- It said personnel from the four city police stations, the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), and the District Headquarters will be deployed to ensure the safety and security of the elections in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan, where 1,105,447 registered voters are expected to cast their votes.

The EPD also said it will establish Police Assistance Desks (PADs) at all 103 polling precincts under its jurisdiction. Its personnel will be joined by around 218 force multipliers or community volunteers, who will help monitor the situation on the ground.
There will also be an additional 157 police officers on standby as part of the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) to respond to emerging situations from their respective headquarters.
"We will ensure that all EPD personnel deployed for NLE 2025 are alert, vigilant, and committed to maintaining peace and order… We will uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of both voters and candidates,” EPD Officer-in-Charge Brig. Gen. Aden Lagradante said.
Lagradante also called on voters to safeguard the integrity of the elections by rejecting vote buying and vote selling.
Meanwhile, authorities assured that despite the large-scale deployment of personnel for election duties, regular anti-criminality operations will continue without interruption to ensure public safety across the areas under their jurisdiction.
