Senator Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri has made no bones about the expertise of administration senatorial bets Vicente "Tito" Sotto III and Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, which is the reason why he is endorsing them for the May 12 polls.
"Ine-endorso ko rin po ng 100 percent itong dati kong mga kasamahan sa Senado na sina Senator Vicente Tito Sotto at si Senator Ping Lacson (I wholeheartedly endorse my former colleagues in the Senate, Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto and Senator Ping Lacson, 100 percent)," Zubiri said in a Facebook post on Wednesday night, May 7.
"Bukod sa subok na ang kanilang sipag at talino lalo na sa larangan ng lehislatura, kailangan din natin sila para labanan ang korapsyon sa ating bayan (Beyond their proven diligence and intelligence—especially in the legislative field—we need them to combat corruption in our nation)," said the former Senate President of the current 19th Congress.
Zubiri went on to share his personal working experiences with the two Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate members.
"Si Sen. Sotto na dati kong boss sa Senado noong siya’y Senate President namin ay napakasipag at never po nag-absent yan, kahit na sa panahon ng pandemya. Dala po niya ang karanasan sa higit tatlong dekada na panenerbisyo sa publiko," he said.
(Senator Sotto, who was my former boss in the Senate when he served as Senate President, was incredibly hardworking and never once absent, even during the pandemic. He brings with him over three decades of experience in public service.)
(Senator Ping also brings extensive experience in peace and order programs, having previously served as Chief of Police for the Philippine National Police. His expertise in tracking down corrupt individuals and plunderers of public funds is invaluable.)
"Kailangan po natin sila sa Senado. Mabuhay ang ating Senado!! (We need them in the Senate. Long live our Senate!) Zubiri further said.
