Laborer buried alive while digging pit in Ilocos Sur

A 48-year-old laborer was buried alive while digging a pit in Barangay Fuerte, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur on Tuesday morning.
Police identified the victim as Reynante Regaspi of Barangay Paratong, Santa Catalina, Ilocos Sur.
Police said the victim had dug a seven-foot deep pit when the soil loosened and covered him.
Rescuers dug up Regaspi’s body using heavy equipment and was declared dead.
