5 hurt as LED wall collapses in Isabela

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela – Five individuals were injured when a light-emitting diode wall collapsed during a concert at the Santiago Sports Complex in Barangay Baluarte here on Monday night, May 5.

Police identified the victims as Santiago City residents Princess, 19; Maria Teresa; Raysa Mae, 11, Jessica, 18; and Sunshine Mae, 18.

Initial investigation said the LED wall collapsed due to strong wind.

Rescuers and police responded and rendered first aid to the victims. 

They were taken to the hospital for follow-up treatment.

Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
