The Avsegroup reported that the autopsy results showed that Malia Masongsong, 4, suffered blunt force trauma to the head and left lower extremities.
The other victim, Daerick Keo Faustino, a senior supervisor at a publishing house, who was supposed to fly to Dubai, died due to blunt force trauma to the head and spinal cord.
The victims were hit by a black SUV being driven by Leo Gonzales, 47, at the NAIA Departure West Curbside area.
The mother of Malia, Cynthia, 33, who was among the three persons seriously injured, was initially brought to the San Juan De Dios Hospital and was later transferred to St. Luke's Hospital.
Editha Soriano, 61, and Safiya Masongsong, 7, were also injured in the car crash.
Gonzales underwent a series of tests and medical evaluation and later tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
The suspect was detained at the Mobile Patrol Security Unit detention facility and is facing criminal charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, multiple physical injuries, and damage to property under the Revised Penal Code.
The aviation police assured "that justice will be pursued with the full extent of the law. We remain steadfast in our commitment to safeguarding lives and maintaining peace and order within airport premises.”
“Coordination with airport authorities and other concerned agencies is ongoing to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident,” it added.
