The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Cagayan Provincial Field Unit arrested three men for allegedly selling unregistered fertilizer valued at P1.5 million in an entrapment operation in Barangay 2 Centro, Enrile, Cagayan on Monday.
The suspects were identified as Roger, Romeo, and Edgar.
Recovered from them were a P1,000 bill and boodle money, 12 boxes containing six gallons each of Grow E All-in-One bio-organic liquid fertilizer, three boxes with 24 bottles of one liter variant of the same product, and a Strada pickup vehicle.
The suspects face cases for violating Presidential Decree 1144 or the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) Law.
The FPA said the product is not registered and among the prohibited products under FPA Advisory No. 2025-001 which advised the public not to buy or use it.
