Farmer knifed dead during altercation

A 35-year-old farmer was stabbed to death and three men were injured during an altercation in Barangay Taguin, Macalelon, Quezon, on Sunday.

Police identified the victim as Reneil, single. Injured were Jomar, 27; Dandreb, 17, and Iresh, 18. 

Investigation said Jomar was cleaning his motorcycle when the suspects Jack, 18; Jay, 17; Dan, 22, and Ed, 20, arrived under the influence of liquor and punched him.

Dandreb witnessed the incident and tried to pacify the suspects but he was also punched.

Jomar left and returned with his older brother Reniel but Jack and Jay stabbed Reniel and Dandreb. Iresh, who was in the area, was chased and beaten by Dan with a bamboo stick and injured in the right leg.

Jomar sustained contusions, Dandreb had a cut in the left arm, and Reneil had stab wounds in the lower abdomen. 

Reneil was taken to the Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City, Quezon where he was declared dead. 

Suspects were arrested in a pursuit and are now in the custody of the Macalelon police. They face charges of homicide and multiple physical injuries.
