Actor Andrew Gan recently took the stage to address a rumor that had captured the media's attention—specifically, the absurd claim that he received a fully operational gasoline station as an extravagant gift.
During the launch of the EcoEnergy Gas Station in Roosevelt, Quezon City, Andrew took the chance to correct false claims about his personal life and growing career.
Andrew, 32, expressed gratitude for the public's interest in his life but firmly stated, "The story of receiving such a unique gift is simply untrue."
"It is what it is. Kung may sasabihin ka kasi hindi naman sila maniniwala sa'yo. May mga tao na ayaw nilang umaangat ka. Wala pa namang nagbibigay sa akin ng gasoline station," he conveyed, reflecting on the challenge of navigating public perception. ("It is what it is. If you say something, they won't believe you. There are people who don't want you to succeed. No one has given me a gas station yet.")
Andrew clarified his role in the venture, stating that he is an endorser and an investor alongside his childhood friends — Yik Yeung Chan, David Dai, Alvin Lam, and Yohann Ortiz.
"We're childhood friends, and we belong to the same school, the Philippine Cultural High School in Caloocan. They invited me to be part of this gasoline station business, a project I have poured my heart, soul, and countless hours into," he shared.

Andrew emphasized their cautious approach, explaining the decision to limit partnerships within the gas station business.
"Some people are interested in being part of the team. But sorry, we are not open to partnerships with anybody. Para sa amin lang ang business na ito para maiwasan ang mga issues tulad ng nangyari sa ibang endorser or celebrity," a member of the team explained earnestly. ("The business is just for us to avoid issues like what happened to other endorsers or celebrities.")
Though his classmates have been urging him to dive into this venture, Andrew remains thoughtful about the timing. Besides the gas station venture, he also owns a spa, and he reflected on his dreams, saying, "I dreamt that one day, I would own a gasoline station in God's time."
The gas station has opened three busy branches. The company plans to expand further and will introduce more stations soon.
In the spotlight, Andrew recently captivated audiences with his performance in the acclaimed series Incognito on ABS-CBN.
