BINI docuseries 'Born To Win' shortlisted at the 2025 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards

Nations girl group BINI is sharing another milestone as the first part of their docuseries "BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win" was shortlisted at the 2025 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards for Best Documentary in the Biography and Profiles category.
The shortlist, which is composed of various TV and film entries from around the world, was released by the organization on its official website.
BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win, produced by iWant Originals and ABS-CBN News Documentaries, follows the members of the Nation's Girl Group in the final days leading up to "BINIverse," their three-night debut performance at the New Frontier Theater.

The film is ABS-CBN News’ first feature-length documentary in four years and is directed by filmmaker Jet Leyco, written by journalist Jeff Canoy, edited by Brian Gonzales and produced by Karen Namora, Hera Sanchez and Tanya Navarro.
Its first two installments “Chapter 1: Born to Win” and “Chapter 2: Here with You” were released in 2024.
ABS-CBN News Chief Francis Toral highlighted ABS-CBN’s return to documentary production. “This is such a meaningful return for the ABS-CBN Documentaries team. We are proud of Bini, and telling their story is an honor for us," Francis shared in a statement.
Meanwhile, GMA Network also made it to the shortlist with five entries—”The Atom Araullo Special: Pogoland” under the Documentary: National Affairs category; “24 Oras: Typhoon Gaemi + Southwest Monsoon” under the News Program: Newscast category; “Firefly” under the Films: Feature Films category; “Lost Sabungeros” under the Documentary: Investigative Journalism category; and “One at Heart, Jessica Soho: Nickel and Dime” under the Documentary: Environment and Ecology category.
The winning entries will be announced on May 22.
