Music is an important part of our lives and shapes who we are. Many people have songs that connect with them on a deep level. These songs become the soundtracks of their lives, bringing back special memories and feelings.

Each note and lyric moves through our minds, creating clear images of both happy and sad moments. They shape who we are in important ways.

At the recent media conference for "Sinagtala" in Quezon City, the stars of "Sinagtala" Rayver Cruz, Glaiza de Castro, Rhian Ramos, Arci Munoz, and Matt Lozano took center stage, each sharing personal songs that resonated deeply with their individual journeys.

"Siguro dahil sa mga pinagdaraanan natin and nasabi ko nga na music saves lives, isa sa mga songs na pinapakinggan ko at nahe-heal ako sa mga mabibigat na nararamdaman is yung 'Oceans' by Hillsong. (Maybe because of what we're going through and I've said that music saves lives, one of the songs that I listen to and heals me from heavy feelings is 'Oceans' by Hillsong)," said Glaiza.

Rhian answered: "Ganun din yung sa akin. Naisip ko rin yun eh. Ang lawak ng buhay ko eh. Hindi ko ma-dedescribe sa love song. Tulad ng sinabi ko, tinanggal ko na yung urge ko na magplano, kung ano ang gusto kong gawin at mangyari. Yun din ang meaning ng lyrics ng 'Oceans' para sa akin. Kung saan mo ako dadalhin, just let my faith be stronger so that I can do it. (That's the same for me. I thought about that too. The breadth of my life. I can't describe it in a love song. Like I said, I've let go of my urge to plan what I want to do and happen. That's also the meaning of the lyrics of 'Oceans' for me. Wherever you take me, just let my faith be stronger so that I can do it.)"

"Ako yun din. Pero sobrang ganda talaga ng kantang yun. Ako naman is 'The Best is Yet to Come' by BTS. Sila ang nagpapasaya sa akin. Maraming beses na-save ako ng BTS. Tapos malapit na uli sila mag-reunite. Yes! gastos! haha. Nagtatrabaho na uli ako para may pambili ako ng ticket. Naniniwala na sa mga pinagdaraanan natin, the best is yet to come. I'm claiming it. Na magiging blockbuster ang 'Sinagtala,' " (Same answer. But that song is really beautiful. For me it's 'The Best is Yet to Come' by BTS. They're the ones who make me happy. BTS has saved me many times. Then they're about to reunite again. Yes! Expenses! haha. I'm working again so I can buy tickets. I believe in what we're going through, the best is yet to come. I'm claiming it. That 'Sinagtala' will be a blockbuster)," said Arci.

On her favorite BTS member, Arci mentioned Suga: "I think si Suga 'yung ma strong na personality. Then tahimik siya. Actually peg ko s'ya. (I think Suga is the one because he has the strongest personality. Then he's quiet. I actually peg him.)

Matt commented: "I think it's MAPA by SB19. Gusto ko rin pasalamatan ang mga magulang ko kasi wala ako rito ngayon kung hindi dahil sa kanila. (I think it's MAPA by SB19. I also want to thank my parents because I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for them)." Then he sampled a portion of the song.

"Sa akin naman itong song na gusto ko kasi napakaganda talaga nito. Pag lumabas ito hit ito. It's 'Laho' by Sinagtala. (I like this song because it's really beautiful. When it comes out, it's a hit. It's 'Laho' by Sinagtala)," said Rayver. A few moments later, the stars joined together to sing the theme song from their movie.

Directed by Mike E. Sandejas, "Sinagtala" is the story of Reggie, Paola, June, Isko, and Carla and how they navigate their journey and challenges as a band and as friends. 

"Sinagtala" will be shown in cinemas beginning April 2.

Glaiza said the role of Paula is close to her personality. "Kapag pinag uusapan kasi ang music, very significant ito. Gift talaga yun sa akin ni Lord, sa pamilya ko. (When we talk about music, it's very significant. It's really a gift from the Lord to me, to my family.)

It's a dream come true for Rayver to star in the musical film because aside from dancing, he's into music these days. The actor-dancer said his girlfriend, singer Julie Anne San Jose, is a big influence.

"Hanggang ngayon, sa mga content na ginagawa ko with Jules, feel ko yun kapag tumutugtog ako ng gitara. Sa movie na ito natupad ko ang pangarap na yun. (Until now, in the content I've been making with Jules, I feel that when I play the guitar. In this movie, I've fulfilled that dream)," added Rayver.

Matt said he feels blessed to be part of the movie.

"First love ko talaga is music. Ngayon I love acting and pagsama silang dalawa. Wala ng sasarap pa sa pakiramdam na yun. (My first love is really music. Now I love acting and now they're together. There's nothing better than that feeling)," he said.

Rhian, who plays a drummer, learned how to play the drums for the movie.

"It's like finding yourself again. Hinahanap mo yung passion mo sa ginagawa mo. And you realize how lucky you are to do your craft," she added.
