20-year-old most wanted person in Pateros arrested


The Pateros police arrested a 20-year-old man tagged as a most wanted person on March 18. 

Operatives from the Pateros police’s Warrant Section, in coordination with the Naval Intelligence and Security Group (NISG), arrested alias Fider, a resident of Barangay San Roque, Pateros. 

He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest for the crime of sexual abuse under Section 5 (B) of Republic Act No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) in relation to Section 5 of Republic Act No. 8369 (Family Courts Act of 1997).

The warrant of arrest, with a total recommended bail of P400,000 for two cases, was issued by Presiding Judge Joy Casihan-Dumlao of the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 262 on March 14. 

Fider was brought to the custodial facility of the Pateros police station pending the return of the warrant of arrest to the court. 

Brig. Gen. Manuel Abrugena, district director of the Southern Police District, lauded the operatives for Fider's arrest.
