Grace Tanfelix, the mother of Kapuso actor Miguel Tanfelix, confessed that she never anticipated receiving a warm response from netizens when she started creating videos of her simple Filipino recipes.

"Sobrang saya po. Hindi ko ine-expect na magiging ganito ang pagtanggap sa akin ng mga tao. Naiiyak ako. (I'm so happy. I didn't expect people to welcome me like this. I'm crying)," said Grace when she was featured on the popular magazine show "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" on GMA Network aired last Sunday.

She added: "Dati kasi konti lang ang mga followers ko pati views konti lang. Tapos ngayon million views na. Diyos ko po! Nanginginig ako! (Before, I only had a few followers and only a few views. Now I have a million views. My God! I'm shaking!)"

As of March 5, Grace has reached three million followers. However, the mother expressed that she felt hurt when people claim she only uses her son for content.

"Sabi nila housewife lang ako. Hindi dapat natin nila-lang ang mga housewife. Superwoman tayo. (They say I'm just a housewife. We should not belittle the housewives. We're superwomen)," she added.

Grace's newfound fame has led to several endorsements and commercials. She even made a cameo on the popular series "Batang Riles."

"Medyo nahirapan ako sa tatlong scenes. Saka na uli muna. (I had a bit of a hard time with three scenes. Then I'll do it again)," she said, when asked if she wanted to appear in another series.

Grace said she was a preschool teacher when Miguel entered showbiz. She said Miguel wanted to be a star, so he told me about an audition for Starstruck Kids.

She mentioned it would be difficult for her to attend the audition because she was pregnant. However, her husband suggested they should accompany Miguel to the GMA audition, as Miguel is passionate about pursuing a career in showbiz.

When Miguel became a child star, Grace said she retired from teaching. "I want to be his driver and personal assistant. I don’t want anyone else to look after him because he was still a child. However, when he turned 21, I trusted him fully."

Her journey as a content creator began by dancing on TikTok, but her son Miguel had different ideas. The actor wanted his mom to focus on cooking for her content, and she agreed.

Grace was asked why she cooks so many dishes in one day. She answered: "My household is large, and I am also renovating my house." She also feeds the construction workers.

She noted that viewers initially believed she was mute because she doesn't speak in her content. To change this perception, she decided to speak at the end, saying, "Okay na 'to," which has since gone viral on social media.

Grace prepares simple meals so that her followers can follow them easily. She revealed that she learned how to cook through shows on YouTube.

The popular mom said she only learned to cook when she got married. "I need to learn how to cook because my family loves to eat." And the rest is history.
