
A fire broke out early Wednesday morning, March 5, inside a commercial building in Binondo, Manila, causing P1.2 million damage to the structure.
The fire, which started on the second floor of the three-story building, was first reported at 5:36 a.m. and quickly escalated into the second alarm by 5:45 a.m.
The building, located along Carvajal Street, Barangay 289, Binondo, Manila, was reportedly rented by Quick Snack Corporation.
Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) responded promptly to the scene, bringing the fire under control by 6:29 a.m.
The fire was officially declared out by 7 a.m.
No injuries or fatalities were reported, despite the severity of the fire.
The fire primarily affected the second and third floors of the building and the neighboring establishment.
Authorities said the fire started on the second floor, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
BFP is continuing its investigation into the cause of the fire and assessing the total damage to the property.
